Britain Talks Climate - new insights on trust & influence in climate communications

Trust matters. It’s an important currency to get things done collectively, especially when it comes to issues as complex as climate change.

However, trust is in short supply: eroding health services, crumbling school buildings and partying politicians have left the British public with a cynical outlook on the country’s ability to effectively address the big issues.

What does it mean to be a trusted messenger on climate communications in such a low trust space? How can climate communicators navigate this situation successfully and still inspire trust and agency in climate action?

Launching in May, we’ll be sharing research findings specific to trust and influence. Working with Climate Barometer, we delved into who and how people trust, and the role of trusted messengers in climate communications and behaviour change.

Come along to this Climate Outreach webinar where we present new findings from exploratory research on trust and influence!

With thanks to the European Climate Foundation, who funded this research.
